Alexandre Schmid

Alexandre SCHMID has extensive experience in finance and treasury management. Alexandre currently holds the position of Corporate Finance Director at SICPA since November 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Group Head of Treasury and Tax at Bodycote from December 2017 to November 2021. Alexandre also worked as an Independent Consultant and Advisor, specializing in finance transformation and technology, from May 2017 to November 2017.

Alexandre SCHMID served as the VP Finance & Corporate Treasury at Silent Circle, a company offering encrypted communication solutions, from January 2015 to April 2017. In this role, they were responsible for funding, treasury management, bank relationship development, stock option programs, and cash management.

Before their time at Silent Circle, Alexandre SCHMID was the Treasury Director at Sidel, a packaging solutions provider, from April 2013 to December 2014. Alexandre also held various roles at Tetra Laval International, including Director of Finance Projects from April 2010 to April 2013, and Senior Manager in Finance Projects and Corporate Finance prior to that.

Earlier in their career, Alexandre SCHMID worked as a Group Reporting Analyst at Tetra Pak International S.A. and as the CFO of SIP S.A. Alexandre began their career as an Internal Auditor and Controller at BNP Paribas (Suisse) S.A. and as a Financial Consultant at Pittler Tornos GmbH.

Throughout their career, Alexandre SCHMID has gained expertise in finance transformation, treasury management, cash management, and project management within the finance domain.

Alexandre SCHMID completed a TL Strategy Program at IMD in 2008. In 2003, they also attended IMD and completed a program called "Shaping our future" focusing on Business Strategy. In 2002, Alexandre attended IMD and completed a program called "First Class Competencies" with a focus on International Program in Management. In 1993, Alexandre obtained an Msc degree in Finance from Birkbeck, University of London. Prior to that, from 1990 to 1993, they completed a BSc degree in Economics from the University of Lausanne - UNIL. Additionally, Alexandre obtained a Leadership Silver Level certification from IMA | Institute of Management Accountants in May 2015 and became a Certified Management Accountant in February 2014 from Certified Management Accountant: CMA™.
