Matthew Schug

Matthew Schug has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Matthew began their career in 1999 at Wegmans Food Markets as a Store Team Lead, where they managed a team of over 30 employees and received multiple awards for outstanding customer service. In 2002, they joined Geek Squad as Deputy Chief, overseeing a team of 12 agents and implementing streamlined processes to improve customer satisfaction. From 2006 to 2015, they worked as a Senior Systems Administrator at Syracuse University School of Information Studies, where they designed and implemented various projects such as RemoteLab and live-streamed conferences. Following that, they joined The Great Lakes Music Company as a Disk Jockey, providing technical support, playing music, and creating a friendly environment for clients. Since 2015, they have been working at SIDEARM Sports, initially as the Director of IT Services and later as the Interim Vice President of Tech & Software Development. Currently, they hold the position of Executive Director of Information Technology at SIDEARM Sports.

Matthew Schug attended Henninger High School, although the dates of their enrollment are unknown. Following their high school education, they pursued Information Management and Technology at Syracuse University starting in 2009. Matthew has obtained multiple certifications, such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2022. Additionally, in 2022, they earned certifications in topics such as Storage Design and Virtual Private Cloud from LinkedIn. In 2021, they obtained certifications in AWS Solutions Architect and gained knowledge in Jira administration and productivity techniques through LinkedIn courses.
