Joanne Mikovich

Joanne Mikovich is a Tucson Native with a deep love for the Sonoran Desert. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelors of Environmental Science. During this time she volunteered as an Americorps member at a local organic farm as well as a high ropes challenge course for 2 years. Soon after, she became an Instructional Specialist at the 4-H High ropes challenge course. She had the opportunity to work with people of all ages, varying ability levels, and backgrounds. Through this experience, Joanne discovered her love for helping others overcome their fears, develop new communication skills, embrace their strengths, and become the best versions of themselves.

Joanne has always been a firm believer that the body heals with play and the mind heals with laughter, and in September of 2020, she was hired as an Adventure Therapist at Sierra Tucson.

She is dedicated to helping others reconnect with themselves through nature and Experiential Therapy.
