Paula Lacava

Paula Lacava serves as the Chief Legal Officer at Sigma Lithium Corp. since August 2023. Prior to this role, Paula held various legal positions at BRK Ambiental from May 2017 to June 2023, where responsibilities included oversight of corporate legal matters, financial contracts, project finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance for the holding and its 20 subsidiaries. Paula also worked as Legal Manager at Odebrecht Ambiental from March 2012 to April 2017, focusing on corporate governance, financial contracts, and M&A while acting as a legal point of contact for business operations in Mexico. Earlier experience includes a Senior Associate Lawyer position at Lefosse Advogados from October 2003 to March 2012, where Paula participated in significant M&A transactions in the sugar-energy sector. Paula's legal career began with an associate role at Linklaters from June 2008 to June 2009, engaging with American clients conducting business in Brazil. Paula graduated with a Law degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo in 2005.
