Brooke Maedel has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Brooke is currently working at Signal Energy Constructors as the Director of HR Solutions, where they began in March 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Manager of Total Rewards at the same company from March 2021 to February 2022.
Before joining Signal Energy Constructors, Brooke worked as an Independent Wine Concierge for Scout & Cellar starting in September 2019. In this role, they trained and coached a team to reach personal financial goals while disrupting the traditional wine industry.
From 2016 to 2021, Brooke held the position of Vice President at Reliance Human Capital Management. Brooke specialized in delivering enterprise-class HR and workforce solutions to Small and Medium-Sized Businesses, streamlining their processes through technology and consulting.
Brooke also has experience in the non-profit sector, having served as a Nominating Chair and Executive Board Member at the Junior League of Chattanooga from June 2017 to May 2018. Brooke was responsible for slating leaders at the executive and committee chair levels. Additionally, from June 2014 to June 2016, they held the role of Vice President of Community Engagement, where they oversaw community-facing volunteer opportunities and developed a community outreach program.
Earlier in their career, Brooke worked as the Director of Technology at Russ Blakely & Associates, LLC from March 2015 to April 2016. Brooke was responsible for integrating technology tools into business operations and evaluating tools for value and efficiency. Brooke also served as the Client Services Coordinator at the same company from April 2012 to February 2015.
Brooke has also worked in various roles at the Junior League of Chattanooga, including Executive Coordinator from June 2011 to May 2012 and Benefit Technology Coordinator from May 2008 to March 2012.
Brooke began their career as a Reporting Analyst at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga from June 2004 to May 2008, where they supported the Academic Affairs unit by fulfilling statistical and analytic reporting requirements.
Brooke's earliest work experience was as a Junior Assessment and Development Specialist at the Personnel Board of Jefferson County from June 2003 to May 2004. In this role, they designed and implemented tests for Merit System job classes.
Brooke Maedel obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Birmingham-Southern College in 2001. Brooke then pursued a Master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, completing it in 2003. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM Certification in December 2018 and will obtain the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM in December 2023.
