Jens Steiger

Jens Steiger is a highly experienced materials scientist with a focus on rechargeable batteries, particularly in lithium dendrite growth. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Scientist at Sila Nanotechnologies Inc. since November 2015, Jens Steiger has held various roles including Staff Scientist, Senior Scientist, and Scientist. Prior to this, Jens conducted research as a Postdoc and PhD Candidate at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from August 2011 to November 2015. Jens also engaged in academic and research positions at the University of Kentucky and KIT, alongside previous engineering internships and research assistant roles. Jens holds a Dr.-Ing. (PhD) in Materials Science and a Diplom-Ingenieur in Mechanical Engineering from KIT.
