Therese Wilson joined Silicon Valley Community Foundation in February 2019 as interim vice president of human resources. In November 2019, she was named executive vice president of donor engagement, corporate responsibility, and chief of staff, in addition to overseeing human resources.
Prior to joining SVCF, Therese was a consultant specializing in nonprofit administration and fund development. Her roster of clients included San Francisco Artists Foundation, Social Venture Network, Google Cloud and others. Skilled in nonprofit management and passionate about building and leading highly effective teams, Therese served as the chief operating officer for No Bully, a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization that partners with schools nationwide to implement a non-punitive and highly effective solution to end bullying and harassment.
She also served as CEO of Planned Parenthood Golden Gate. There, her team of more than 200 people worked to ensure access to comprehensive reproductive and primary health care and sexuality education services for over 70,000 individuals annually in the Bay Area. She has also worked extensively in Africa designing and implementing culturally competent health, education and gender empowerment projects. Therese holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
