Johnny Rubio has a diverse background in the aviation industry. Johnny currently serves as the Chief Commercial Officer ISMEA & Head of Business Analysis and Development Network at Silk Way West Airlines since September 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Etihad Airways from 2012 to 2019, holding various roles including Head of Commercial for Europe, Americas, Africa, Middle East, GCC, and Central Asia, Regional Sales Manager for the Indian Sub-Continent, and Regional Sales Manager for UAE & GCC. Before joining Etihad Airways, Rubio worked at British Airways in several positions, including Business Manager for Africa, Middle East, Asia & Pacific, Area Commercial Manager for Middle East, Central Asia, Pakistan, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka, Area Manager for South Europe, District Manager for Central America & Latin America-Caribbean GSA Areas, Change Manager for Latin America, Caribbean & Florida, Account Sales Manager for South Central USA, and Account Sales Executive for S.Chicago, N.West Indiana & Wisconsin. Prior to British Airways, they worked at America West Airlines as a Spanish Specialty Sales Executive and as an Analyst in Operational Analysis during an internship at United Airlines.

Johnny Rubio attended Arizona State University from 1989 to 1994, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Management Technology with an emphasis in Airway Science Management.
