Rafael Simon has been involved in various roles in the water industry since 2007. Rafael began their career as Co-Founder and Chairman of ALPHA MEMBRANE TECHNOLOGIES Ltd. in 2007. In 2013, they became Chairman of Microvi, and in 2016 they took on an Advisory Board Member role at Desalitech, Inc. In 2017, they were appointed Director of Ovivo, and in 2018 they became Director of Cambrian Innovation Inc., Advisory Board Member of Aqaix, and Founder and President of Aquamark Technology Partners. In 2019, they were appointed Director of Accessible Technologies, Inc., and Co-Founder and President of Silvec Biologics. Most recently, in 2020, they became Co-Founder and Partner of Thales Water Advisors.
Rafael Simon received a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 1991. Rafael continued their studies at the same university, obtaining a Master's degree in Materials Science and Mineral Engineering in 1994. Rafael then completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Science and Mineral Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1996.
