Steven Rossum has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Steven started their career as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Reno Air before transitioning to become an Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and General Counsel at ASTAR Air Cargo. Rossum then joined AirTran Airways as the Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and General Counsel, where they played a crucial role in the airline's acquisition by Southwest Airlines. Steven later became the Executive Vice President, Chief Restructuring Officer at Pinnacle Airlines Corp. during its Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Rossum also served as the President and Managing Director of NSB Aviation/Volusia Consulting, as well as the CEO and Managing Director of SGR Aviation Consulting, LLC. Steven further enhanced their legal expertise as a Partner at Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP, where they provided legal advice to airlines and aviation companies. Rossum has also been an Adjunct Faculty at Barry University's Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, teaching aviation law and legal ethics. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Executive Officer at Silver Airways and its subsidiary, Seaborne Airlines.
Steven Rossum attended Binghamton University from 1980 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science degree. Steven'sfield of study at Binghamton University was Romance Languages and Accounting. Following their undergraduate education, Steven went on to attend Emory University School of Law from 1984 to 1987, earning a Juris Doctor (JD) degree with a specialization in Law.
