Karl McCambridge

Karl McCambridge has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Karl began their career at French Connection plc as an Accounts Assistant in 1985. From there, they worked as an Assistant Financial Controller at ICL-Sorbus Ltd, Fujitsu, and Bell Atlantic for three years. In 1989, they joined Sainsbury's as an Assistant Accountant and later took on roles as a Logistics Analyst, Business Analyst, and finally an Analyst Programmer. In 1996, Karl joined Pinesoft as a Systems Developer and stayed with the company until 2000 when they became a Senior Systems Developer at Britannic Retirement Solutions Ltd. Karl then worked at Functional IT Ltd. as an IT Consultant from 2005 to 2006. Karl joined Pinesoft Ltd. in 2006, initially as a Senior Software Developer and eventually as a Product Owner and Senior System Developer until 2013. Karl then transitioned to 123.ie as a Senior .Net Developer until 2017. Currently, Karl works at Sim Local, where they have held various positions such as Senior .Net Developer, SIMulator Team Lead, and currently as the Platform Engineering Manager since February 2020.

Karl McCambridge attended St Benlidus College from 1977 to 1980 and obtained an Irish Intermediate Certificate. Karl then pursued their education at Rathmines Senior College, Ireland from 1982 to 1983, where they attained an Irish Leaving Certificate. Finally, they enrolled at DIT College of Commerce from 1983 to 1985, where they completed a degree in Association of Accounting Technicians with a field of study in Accounting and Finance.
