Christophe Chnafa, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of medical technology and research. Christophe started their career at CNRS - Centre national de la recherche scientifique, where they worked as a PhD Candidate from October 2010 to November 2014. During this time, they conducted studies on cardiac flows and developed numerical methods and algorithms for computational fluid dynamics and image processing.
Following their PhD, Christophe joined Politecnico di Torino as an Invited Researcher from November 2015 to January 2016. Here, they further expanded their research experience before moving to the University of Toronto as a Postdoctoral Researcher from January 2015 to December 2016. At the University of Toronto, they conducted research projects focused on cerebral aneurysms and cerebral blood flow, working closely with clinicians and engineers.
In 2017, Christophe joined Sim&Cure, a medical technology company, as an R&D Engineer. Christophe played a key role in the development and validation of their first products, as well as supporting clinical interventions in hospitals worldwide. During their time at Sim&Cure, they also worked as VP, Technology & Strategy from January 2019 to October 2021, shaping the company's structure and core teams, and overseeing its expansion.
Currently, Christophe holds the position of Chief Innovation & Strategy Officer at Sim&Cure, starting in October 2021. In this role, they are responsible for driving innovation and strategy for the company, and ensuring its continued growth and success.
Christophe Chnafa, Ph.D. pursued their education in a chronological manner, with their earliest degree being a Licence in Mechanical Engineering from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III, which they completed from 2005 to 2008. Following this, they went on to obtain a Master's degree in Fluid Dynamics, Energetics and Transfers from the same institution, studying from 2008 to 2010. Finally, they completed their highest level of education, a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Applied Mathematics and Modelling from the University of Montpellier, which they successfully accomplished between 2010 and 2014.
