From 2004 to the present, Don has been the Director of Information Technology at Simm Associates, Inc. Here, they are responsible for the day-to-day operation of a multiple server Windows 2003/2008 Active Directory Infrastructure. Don troubleshoots hardware and software issues, plans for company goals, and manages over 300 desktop and notebook computers and 26 servers.

From 1998 to 2004, Don worked as the Director of Information Technology at Hamilton Information Systems. In this role, they oversaw the operation of a multiple server Windows Active Directory Infrastructure with over 150 desktop and notebook computers. Don also maintained the network, performed upgrades and system security, and managed backups.

Prior to that, Don was the Networking Manager and Sales Manager at PC Doctors from 1989 to 1998. Don managed consultants for over 200 clients and provided technical support for hardware and software. Don also handled marketing, invoicing, purchasing, billing, and client relations. Don assisted clients with Microsoft Windows platforms as well as Unix and desktop operating systems and applications.

From 1988 to 1989, Don worked at Computer Consulting Service as a Computer Technician and Sales professional. Don managed consultants for over 100 clients and provided technical support, marketing, and client relations. Don also assisted clients with Microsoft Windows platforms, UNIX, Xenix, and desktop operating systems and applications.

In 1986, Don worked as a Computer Lab Manager at Salisbury State University. Don performed help desk duties, scheduled production jobs, disbursed print jobs, and loaded applications for student and staff usage.

From 1985 to 1988, Don served as a Management Assistant for Quality Control at Airpax - North American Phillips Company. Don maintained the efficiency of a manufacturing process for circuit breakers and computer components, ensured quality control based on client requirements, and managed work flow and employee productivity.

From 1983 to 1985, Don worked as a Computer Operations Specialist at Anne Arundel Community College. Don operated an IBM 4341 Mainframe system, processed college production jobs, and converted the input system from punched card to terminal-based. Don also disbursed print jobs for student programs and processes.

Throughout their career, Don has gained experience in a wide range of technical support, management, and leadership roles in the field of information technology.

Don Newcomb earned an Associates Degree in Computer Science from Anne Arundel Community College in 1985. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in CIS (Computer Science Liberal Studies) from Salisbury State University, completing their degree in 1988.
