Tanya Tolomeo, MSc MBA

Tanya Tolomeo, MSc MBA, has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles within the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Tanya is currently the Head of Business Development at Simmunome Inc., where they lead the development of machine learning models to predict clinical outcomes in clinical trials.

Prior to Simmunome Inc., Tanya served as the Director of Logistics (Operations) at Capcium Inc., where they were responsible for the overall strategy and performance of the supply chain. Tanya successfully planned, deployed, and led a team in procurement, production planning, warehousing, and logistics.

Before Capcium Inc., Tanya was the Operations Manager at Cannara Biotech, where they built the planning, supply chain, warehousing, and logistics structure and team from the ground up. Tanya developed purchasing policies and procedures, implemented quality practices, and played a pivotal role in selecting and implementing an ERP system.

Tanya also worked as a Project Manager at Innovaderm Research Inc., overseeing large multi-site Phase II clinical trials. Tanya was responsible for project planning, recruitment, medical training, risk mitigation, and budget management.

Prior to that, they held the position of Project Manager at Algorithme Pharma, leading numerous clinical trials and client audits. Tanya worked closely with business development and operations to win contracts, improve service offerings, and ensure customer satisfaction.

At Certara, Tanya served as both a Scientist and an Associate Scientist. In these roles, they authored and reviewed submission-ready reports for preclinical and Phase I/II studies and managed client proposals and budgets. Tanya also trained and mentored junior scientists.

Tanya began their career as a Pharmacokinetic Scientist at Celerion, where they gained valuable experience in pharmacokinetic modeling and analysis.

Throughout their career, Tanya has consistently demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to successfully manage complex projects and multidisciplinary teams. Tanya has a proven track record of driving operational efficiencies, improving processes, and delivering exceptional results.

Tanya Tolomeo has an extensive education history. Tanya first attended Concordia University from 2002 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, with a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies in Science. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology from McGill University, which they completed from 2005 to 2007.

Later on, in 2011, they returned to Concordia University and enrolled in their Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, graduating in 2014. Additionally, in 2012, they attended the Levin Institute at the State University of New York at NYC, where they completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) course focused on International Finance and Leadership.
