Craig Whitlock is an accomplished author and investigative reporter with extensive experience in journalism. Since January 2020, Whitlock has been a book author at Simon & Schuster, notably publishing "Fat Leonard: How One Man Bribed, Bilked, and Seduced the U.S." Prior to this role, Whitlock has been with The Washington Post since September 1998, serving as a staff writer in various capacities, including the Investigative Desk, National Desk focusing on the Pentagon, and as Berlin bureau chief. Earlier in their career, Whitlock worked as a staff writer for The News and Observer in Raleigh, N.C., and The Anniston Star. Whitlock holds an AB in History from Duke University, earned between 1986 and 1990.
