Trevor Barnes is a seasoned professional in UK broadcasting and regulation with approximately 40 years of experience. Currently a Consultant Solicitor at Simons Muirhead Burton LLP and a Consultant at Barnestvcompliance consultancy, Trevor specializes in compliance for broadcasters and video-on-demand services. Previously, Trevor served as Head of Harm, Offence and Fairness Standards at Ofcom, where leadership included overseeing compliance investigations and managing significant regulatory developments. Significant contributions also include tenure as Director of Broadcasting and Spectrum Law at Ofcom and Legal Counsel at the Independent Television Commission.
