Pankaj Sable has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Pankaj started their career as a Training Intern at the Automotive Research Association of India, where they received training on hybrid and electric vehicles. Pankaj then completed an internship at Ezenith Education, focusing on hybrid and electric vehicle development and design.
Pankaj later became the Team Captain and Suspension Head at Team Brahmastra Quad, a team that designed and manufactured an all-terrain vehicle for national competitions. During this time, the team achieved notable accomplishments in design and sales competitions.
In 2018, Pankaj joined Team Nikola as the Design Lead, where they worked on developing an electric motorcycle with impressive specifications such as a range of 100 km, charging time under 20 minutes, and a battery life of over 8 years.
Pankaj also had a failed startup experience as an entrepreneur, where they attempted to build an electric vehicle company called Team Nikola. Despite the failure, they learned valuable lessons and gained experience in pitching the prototype at a startup competition.
Following their failed startup, Pankaj joined Mahindra and Mahindra Limited as a Testing Engineer, specifically involved in the launch of Mahindra's new BS-6 pick up project. Pankaj received recognition for their exceptional performance and was awarded a spot award.
Currently, Pankaj holds the position of Chief Product Officer & Founding Partner at Simple Energy, a role they took on in September 2020. Prior to this, they served as a Mechanical Design Engineer at the same company from June 2019 to October 2020.
Overall, Pankaj Sable has a well-rounded background in engineering, particularly in the field of hybrid and electric vehicles, and has experience in leadership, design, testing, and entrepreneurship.
Pankaj Sable completed their secondary education at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Nashik from 2007 to 2012. Pankaj then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering at KK Wagh College of Engineering in Nasik from 2015 to 2019. Additionally, they obtained several certifications including being recognized as the best team captain at the ISNEE QUAD TORC event in October 2018 and winning the CAE category at the same event. Pankaj also completed internships on hybrid and electric vehicles at Ezenith Education in July 2018 and on Hybrid drives, Traction & controls at Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) in May 2018. Pankaj also obtained a certificate of participation from the Fraternity of Mechanical and Automotive Engineers in July 2017. Pankaj acquired skills in CatiaV6 through Nashik Engineering Cluster in June 2017 and received Hyoerworks level 1 certification from ELEATION in July 2016.
