Bot Engineer III at Simple Fractal

Grant Russell has been working in the tech industry since 2013. From 2013 to 2019, they worked at St. Luke's School as the Director of Academic Technology, Grade 5 Computer Teacher, and Upper School Academic Technology Coordinator. In this role, they chaired the Academic Technology Team, managed all academic technology initiatives, founded innovateUniversity (iU), a technology professional development program, set the foundation for the school's technology curriculum, and co-developed an in-house professional development program. From 2019 to 2022, they worked at UConn Extension as an Advanced Master Gardener. In this role, they completed the CAHNR Extension Master Gardener Program at the University of Connecticut, acted as a Teaching Assistant for the 2020 Master Gardener Program, co-mentored five master gardener interns during the summer of 2020, researched and designed the 2020 planting of Mystic Aquarium's Monarch Butterfly Garden, and led 10+ master gardener volunteers in the planting of 1,500+ native pollinator plants. Currently, Grant Russell is working as a Bot Engineer at Simple Fractal.

Grant Russell received a BA in English Language and Literature/Letters from the University of Chicago in 2008. Grant then went on to pursue an EdM in Language and Literacy from Harvard Graduate School of Education, which they completed in 2013. Currently, they are enrolled in App Academy, where they are studying Software Engineering and Web Development, with an expected graduation date of 2022.
