Susan Ellis

Head of Innovation at Simple Mills

Susan Ellis has over 20 years of work experience, starting in 2000 as an Associate Marketing Manager at Nestlé USA. Susan then worked as a Brand Manager and Senior Assistant Brand Manager at Kraft Foods from 2003 to 2009. In 2010, Susan founded Susan Ellis Consulting, where they served as a Marketing Consultant for high-profile clients such as Tyson Foods and Kraft Heinz. During the same period, they also worked as a Research Specialist at the University of Illinois at Chicago, conducting research and planning community forums. Susan joined Tyson Foods in 2017 and held various leadership positions, including Director of Disruptive Innovation, Senior Director of Innovation for Jimmy Dean and Hillshire Farm, and Vice President of Prepared Foods Innovation. Currently, Susan is the Head of Innovation at Simple Mills.

Susan Ellis has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from Spelman College. Susan has also pursued an MBA in Marketing from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management.
