Mary Ann Smith

Mary Ann Smith has over 30 years of experience in organizational development and human resources, currently serving as a Senior Program Manager and HR/Learning & Development Specialist at Simpler Consulting, an IBM Company, since January 2010. Prior to this role, Mary Ann held various positions at Hanesbrands Inc. from July 1992 to January 2010, including Organizational Development, HR, and Lean Manager. Earlier in Mary Ann's career, from April 1989 to July 1992, significant contributions were made as an Instructional Design and Organizational Development Specialist, as well as Continuous Improvement Group Lead at Alcoa. Educationally, Mary Ann earned a BA in Microbiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and is an ABD from the PhD program in Industrial & Organizational Psychology at the same institution.
