Altagracia Lagares has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Altagracia started their career in 1996 as a Gerente de Soporte Tecnico at La Universal de Seguros, where they worked until 1999. Altagracia then moved on to Seguros Popular, where they served as a Gerente de Division PED y Soporte Tecnico from 1999 until 2001. In 2006, Lagares joined Seguros Universal as a Gerente Division de Operaciones and held this position until 2013 when they transitioned to Grupo Universal as a Director de Operaciones. After five years, they became self-employed in 2018 and worked as an IT Consultant until 2021 when they joined Simplex Group as a Project Manager.
Altagracia Lagares has a strong educational background in both business administration and computer engineering. From 1990 to 1992, they pursued a Magister degree in Business Administration from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. Prior to this, from 1985 to 1990, they completed a degree in Systems and Computer Engineering from the same university.
In addition to their formal education, Altagracia also holds several certifications related to project management. In December 2019, they obtained a certification in "Project Management Foundations: Risk" from LinkedIn. In January 2019, they completed a course on "Scrum: The Basics" from LinkedIn. Moreover, in November and October 2018 respectively, they obtained certifications in "International Project Management" from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Lastly, in May 2018, Altagracia obtained a certification in "Project Management Life Cycle" from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
