Paula Matos

Paula Matos has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on special programs and services. Paula currently holds the position of Director GBD Special Programs at Simply Healthcare Plans since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Amerigroup RealSolutions in Healthcare for several years, starting as a Case Manager in November 2010 and working their way up to Manager 1 Special Programs & Services, where they were responsible for overseeing the implementation of special programs. Paula also held the position of Oversight Manager for a period of time. Before joining Amerigroup, Paula worked as a Medical Case Manager at Miracle of Love, Inc from November 2009 to October 2010.

Paula Matos obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida in 2007. Following this, from 2007 to 2009, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, also at the University of South Florida. In 2012-2013, Paula completed a Technical Certificate in Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Training at Pasco Hernando Community College. Later, in 2015-2016, they attended the Florida Academy of Nursing and earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse.
