Sam Abbas

Sam Abbas is the Co-founder and CEO of SimplyWise, a company that provides transparency to the hedge fund industry through alternative data, ratings, rankings and analysis of hedge fund manager skill and discipline. Prior to SimplyWise, Sam Abbas was the Founder of SYMMETRIC.IO from January 2013 to April 2018. Symmetric.io is a company that provides transparency to the hedge fund industry through alternative data, ratings, rankings and analysis of hedge fund manager skill and discipline. Clients include 3 of the top 5 Fund of Funds, and several of the world's most sophisticated quantitative hedge funds. Prior to Symmetric.io, Sam Abbas was the Head of Research & Trading at Privero capital from July 2007 to December 2013. At Privero capital, Sam Abbas helped found proprietary trading firm specializing in statistical arbitrage. Responsible for determining areas of market anomaly research, conducting statistical analysis to determine signal from noise, and building all technology to execute our systematic strategies. Strategies realized a sharpe ratio of ~2 over tenure, including an unlevered return of > 30% in our first year of operation (2008). Prior to Privero capital, Sam Abbas was a Consultant at Oliver Wyman from January 2005 to December 2007.

Sam Abbas attended the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, where they studied computer science.
