Melissa Banks Floyd has a wealth of experience in the non-profit and public sectors. Melissa began their career in 1999 as a Volunteer and Volunteer Leader for the Peace Corps. In 2002, they worked as a Project Management Technician for Western Environmental Consultants. From 2003 to 2006, they held two roles at the County of Lake, first as an Assistant Resource Planner and then as a Senior Resource Planner. During this same time, they were also a Land Use Planning Consultant for their own business, Melissa Floyd Planning Consultant, and an Associate Planner for Pacific Municipal Consultants. From 2006 to 2011, they worked as a Non Profit Development Consultant for their own business, Melissa Floyd Development Consultant. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Development Coordinator for the Stonington Free Library. From 2017 to 2021, they were a Grants Manager for United Community & Family Services and is currently a Client Services Director and Senior Client Services Director for SIMPSON Healthcare.
