Ziad Hitti is a CPA, CISA, CRMP, CPM with extensive work experience in the field of internal audit and risk management. Ziad has held various roles throughout their career, starting with their current position as Vice President, Internal Audit at Simpson Strong-Tie, a US engineering firm and building materials producer. Prior to this, they served as Head of Internal Audit, SOX, and Enterprise Risk Management at Shutterfly, Inc., where they were responsible for managing all aspects of internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance activities. Before that, they worked as the Director of Internal Audit at Direct Energy, a major North American energy company, where they oversaw the planning, execution, and control of various internal audit projects and special engagements. Ziad started their career at EY, where they held the position of Senior Manager - Risk Advisory Services. In this role, they led and managed teams in conducting audits and special engagements, with a focus on risk evaluation, project planning, and process re-engineering. Ziad's expertise also includes the assessment of application and automated controls.

Ziad Hitti, CPA, CISA, CRMP, CPM, holds a Masters degree in Business with a focus on Accounting and Finance from the Saint Joseph University of Beirut, which they earned from 1996 to 1997. Prior to that, they obtained a BBA in Business Administration and Accounting from the American University of Beirut, completing their studies from 1992 to 1996. Additionally, Ziad has achieved various certifications including Certified Information Systems Audit (CISA) from ISACA in 2000, and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the California Board of Accountancy. Ziad has also obtained certifications such as Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) from RIMS, Certified Professional in Management (CPM) from the American Management Association, and multiple certificates related to financial management, non-profit boards, diversity and inclusion, and sustainable management.
