James Murphy

James Murphy is a seasoned UCC paralegal with extensive experience in corporate law. Currently serving as a Senior UCC Paralegal at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP since July 2022, James specializes in UCC preparation and filings, lien searches, and corporate good standing assessments. Prior to this role, James spent over 19 years at Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP, focusing on large secured transactions and corporate housekeeping. Earlier experience includes positions at Citigroup Asset Management and in the Blue Sky Department at Cahill Gordon & Reindel, where James worked on the registration of securities. James began a legal career as a Legal Assistant at Sullivan & Worcester LLP, gaining foundational knowledge in corporate and real estate law. James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from City University of New York-Herbert H. Lehman College.
