Caroline Lafleur has a diverse work experience in the food industry. Caroline is currently the Product Development Lead at SIMULATE since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Mattson: Innovation for the Food & Beverage Industry, where they held various positions including Senior Food Scientist, Senior Food Technologist, Food Technologist, and Product Development Technician from 2017 to 2023. Caroline also worked at Rephyll Products as a Food Product Developer and Marketing Advisor in 2016, where they conducted market research, explored new vegan ingredients, and collaborated on the formulation of plant-based burger prototypes. Additionally, they worked as a Cook at catering by george inc in 2016 and as a Research Intern for New Food Product Development at McGill University in 2015.

Caroline Lafleur pursued their education in the field of biology and toxicology, earning a Bachelor's degree from UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal between 2009 and 2012. Following this, they furthered their knowledge in the realm of food science by enrolling at McGill University, where they obtained a Master's degree between 2014 and 2016.
