Audrey Hazleton

Middle School Deputy Principal at Singapore American School Limited

Audrey Hazleton brings over 20 years of educational experience to SAS. In her years as an educator and school leader, Hazleton has sought out and developed schools where students and teachers are thriving on all levels—socially, physically, emotionally and intellectually. Most recently, she served for nine years as principal of Glenwood Springs Elementary School in the mountains of Colorado. Prior to that, Audrey taught fifth grade at a project-based learning school in Ft. Collins, Colorado and opened a project-based learning high school in Duluth, Minnesota, early in her career. Before becoming a teacher, Hazleton spent her time as an outdoor educator and adventure trip leader in the Northwoods of Minnesota.

Audrey Hazleton holds a bachelor’s degree in History from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. She obtained her master’s degree in education from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, with a focus on environmental education and completed coursework in school leadership at Colorado State University. Currently, Hazleton is completing her certification in school management and leadership from Harvard University.

Hazleton and her husband Chris live here in Singapore with two of their sons, Gabe and Spencer, who are juniors at SAS. Their eldest son, Graham, is a freshman at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
