Rita Oliveira has a diverse work experience in various fields. Rita started their career at Cambridge English Academy, where they completed an English course in 2006. Rita then worked as a Teaching Assistant at Universidade Nova de Lisboa in 2013, where they were involved in a biochemistry project related to protein crystallography and drug design.
In 2014, Rita worked at Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa as a Research Assistant for their Master's thesis in Biotechnology. Their research focused on studying the interaction between vanadium compounds and proteins using X-Ray Crystallography.
From 2016 to 2016, Rita worked at Calzedonia Group, where they held the position of Retail Sales Collaborator and Store Manager.
In 2017, Rita joined the Biomolecular Engineering Lab as a Research Assistant.
From 2018 to 2022, they worked as a PhD student at MIT Portugal Program, specializing in biosensing for biomarkers of antimicrobial resistant bacteria infections. Rita conducted research on the design and development of optical and electrical sensors for Electronic Nose Devices.
Currently, they are working at Single Quantum as a Scientific Sales professional, starting in 2022.
Rita Oliveira pursued their education at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa in Lisbon, Portugal. From 2009 to 2013, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry. Later on, they continued their studies at the same institution and obtained their Master's Degree in Biotechnology from 2013 to 2015.
