Dave Horn

Dave Horn's work experience begins in 1995 at Vertafore, where they served as a Senior Programmer/Analyst, leading a project to develop a Windows application for insurance agents. Dave then worked at CNA Insurance as an Application Specialist III, leading the development of a commercial claims internet application. At One, Inc., they worked as a Principal Consultant, specializing in Silverstream and Java, and was responsible for developing a contact management web application. Dave joined Intel Corporation in 2000 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they taught Java classes and served as the lead architect for a Java implementation of the RosettaNet e-business process standards.

In 2002, Dave joined Ciber Global as a Senior Consultant, working on enterprise architecture integration projects for T-Mobile. Dave then became a Technology Partner at Viewpoint Media Systems in 2003, developing a multimedia marketing engine. From 2004 to 2019, they worked at Sterling Codifiers as a Solution Architect, Engineering, and IT Consultant.

From 2004 to 2020, Dave worked at PlanSource as the Director of Software Engineering, leading a team of remote software engineers and overseeing the development of various projects related to national carrier integration, underwriting, quoting, and enrollment applications.

In 2020, Dave joined Single Stop as the Chief Technology Officer, overseeing technology operations. Dave also took on the role of Manager of Software Engineering, leading a team of software engineers until 2021. Currently, they are working as the Director of Systems and Technology at The Fedcap Group, starting in September 2021.

Dave Horn attended Eastern Washington University from 1990 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science with minors in Physics and Math. In terms of certifications, they achieved the Sun Certified Java 2 Programmer certification from Sun in October 2000. Later, in January 2007, they obtained the Zend Certified Engineer PHP 5 certification from Zend. More recently, in February 2020, they acquired the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF) certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Lastly, in September 2020, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification, also from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
