As an NSF Graduate Research Fellow, Ricardo’s early research focused on identifying the molecular mediators underlying the action of probiotic bacteria. He later joined the laboratory of Dr. Susan Lynch at the University of California San Francisco as an NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award Fellow investigating microbial community dynamics during allergy and asthma development. An inventor of Siolta’s technology, Ricardo is an exceptional microbiologist who brings industry knowledge to the team as the former Director of Research and Development at Medical Neurogenetics Laboratories. His experience with the Siolta technology platform, industry diagnostics, and live biotherapeutic development makes him well-suited to direct the company’s R&D program.
