Simon Woldeyesus

Simon Woldeyesus is a seasoned language professional with extensive experience in interpretation and translation, particularly in the Tigrinya language. Currently serving as a VRI Tigrinya Interpreter at Voyce since August 2020, Simon also works as a Tigrinya Translator and Document Reviewer at Mesmo, Inc., and as a Tigrinya OPI Interpreter at CyraCom Language Solutions, both roles held since May 2020. Additionally, Simon has been a Freelance Tigrinya Interpreter for Sioux City Community School District since May 2019 and has provided proofreading services in Tigrinya and Amharic for NWI Global since June 2018. Other notable positions include Interpreter and Test Reviewer for Liberty Language Services and TransPerfect, as well as a Tigrinya Language Associate for Translators without Borders. Previous experience includes teaching English as a Second Language at the International Rescue Committee from October 2008 to September 2011. Simon's educational background includes studies at Addis Ababa University from 2011 to 2014 and the University of Asmara from September 2001 to May 2004.
