Dave Cavalcanti

Dave Cavalcanti currently serves as President of Avnu Alliance since May 2023 and has been a Principal Engineer and Senior Staff Research Scientist at Intel Corporation since April 2015. Prior experience includes a decade at Philips Research as a Principal Member of Research Staff, focusing on industry standards for M2M applications and innovations in smart cities. Early career roles included Research Assistant at the University of Cincinnati, with research on heterogeneous wireless networks, and a Research Intern position at Philips Research. Dave Cavalcanti holds a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an Engineering degree in Electronics from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco.
