Ambassador Jan Kenneth Eliasson

Ambassador Jan Kenneth Eliasson has held prominent leadership roles in various organizations, currently serving as Chairman of the Board at SIPRI since June 2017 and as Chair at WaterAid since July 2012. From July 2012 to December 2016, Eliasson was the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations. Eliasson earned a Master's degree in Economics from the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg, where studies occurred from 1962 to 1965.
