David Bucksley

David Bucksley has extensive experience in the field of health, safety, and wellbeing, with a focus on the construction industry. David currently holds the position of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Director at Sir Robert McAlpine since January 2022. In this role, they ensure that the HS&W department provides the best support to employees, clients, and the supply chain, while also working with industry peers to drive improvement in the construction industry. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing at Sir Robert McAlpine from December 2019 to January 2022.

Before joining Sir Robert McAlpine, David worked as the Risk and Development Leader at Mid Group Ltd from November 2018 to November 2019. David was responsible for managing risks and contributing to the company's development strategies.

Prior to that, they served as the Health and Safety Manager (Lead) at Skanska UK from November 2014 to November 2018, where they provided deputy head support of health and safety for construction projects, including Battersea Power Station Phase 2, St Giles Circus, and Dukes Court.

David also worked as the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager at Lend Lease from December 2012 to November 2014, managing health and safety on the Kings Gate and the Zig Zag Building Project in central London.

Prior to their time at Lend Lease, they served as a Regional SHE Advisor at Kier Group from October 2011 to December 2012, where they provided health, safety, and environmental support and advice to various construction sites in the London area.

David'scareer in health and safety began as a Health and Safety Advisor at Skanska UK from June 2007 to September 2011. Overall, David has gained valuable experience in managing health, safety, and wellbeing in various construction projects and has demonstrated a commitment to driving improvement in the industry.

David Bucksley completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Law and Marketing from the University of the West of England from 2002 to 2006. David later pursued a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety at RRC Training College from 2009 to 2010.
