Nicola Markall Fciob

Nicola Markall FCIOB has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Nicola is currently working as the Technical Compliance Director at Sir Robert McAlpine, where they focus on improving technical compliance and quality control. Prior to this, Nicola held the position of Head of Technical Compliance at the same company, where they led the implementation of legislation changes and industry practices.

Before joining Sir Robert McAlpine, Nicola worked as the Chairperson of Birmingham Hub at The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). Nicola also served as the Group Quality & Technical Compliance Manager at Colmore Tang Construction, where they provided expert technical knowledge and advice across the business.

Nicola gained valuable experience during their tenure at Carillion, where they held various roles including Regional Quality & Technical Compliance Manager and Construction Project Manager. Nicola'sresponsibilities included managing subcontractors, controlling budgets, commenting on designs, and liaising with clients.

Nicola began their career at Alfred McAlpine as a Site Engineer and later worked as a Construction Site Manager and Design Manager. Prior to that, Nicola was a Graduate Engineering Trainee at Waterman Group.

Nicola Markall FCIOB has a BSc (HONS) degree in Construction Management from the University of Wolverhampton, and an HNC in Civil Engineering, also from the University of Wolverhampton. Nicola Markall has also completed the Executive Leaders Programme at Cranfield University. In addition to their degrees, Nicola Markall holds certifications in CSCS Managers Card from CITB, IEMA, Lead Auditor from Lloyd's Register, NEBOSH Construction from NEBOSH, and SMSTS from CITB.
