Tod received his Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Louisiana State University Medical Center in 1986.
As a full time clinician for more than 20 years, he became one of only three Neurodevelopmental Treatment Association Adult Hemiplegia Occupational Therapy Instructors in the world. During this time, he traveled throughout North America teaching nurses and occupational, physical and speech therapists practical hands-on approaches to managing patients. He was awarded a patent on multiple therapeutic devices, one of which won the 1997 Maddock Award.
In 2009, Tod received his Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Adventist University. He received a Nursing Home Administrators License in 2013. He received his Fellow designation from the American College of Health Care Executives in 2014, which is the highest standard of health care executive development. In 2015, Tod completed the Executive Program of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the nation’s leading professional society for healthcare leaders.
Tod is a CARF Surveyor, providing his expertise in both administrative and clinical capacities.
