Chandler Young's work experience began in 2010 as an IT Support Technician for the Nelson County Board of Education. In this role, they provided computer repair, configured thin client servers, and deployed software and printers. From 2013 to 2015, Young worked as an Internet Technical Support Specialist I for the City of Bardstown, where they provided technical support for computer users and troubleshooted internet and cable outages. In 2015, Young joined the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth as a System Administrator. Chandler planned and implemented new technologies, designed and maintained a Windows Server cluster, and implemented a Cisco Unified Communications solution. Young was later promoted to Director of Information Technology, where they worked collaboratively with directors to develop long-term plans, evaluate IT procedures and equipment, and manage technology budgets. Chandler continues to hold this role.
Chandler Young's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Information Technology from Western Kentucky University (2015-2016). Prior to that, Chandler attended Elizabethtown Community and Technical College from 2013 to 2015, where they earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) and an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Computer Network Administration. Chandler's formal education began at Nelson County High School, where they completed their high school education from 2009 to 2013.
Additionally, Chandler has obtained several certifications throughout their education and career. These certifications include Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) from Cisco in September 2023, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) from Cisco in June 2017, TestOut Server Pro: Manage and Administer from TestOut Corporation in May 2016, Linux Essentials from Linux Professional Institute in October 2014, CompTIA A ce from CompTIA in August 2013, and CompTIA Network ce from CompTIA in October 2011.
