Gabby has experience working at organizations such as Sit-Down, Lifeline Australia, UNSW, Australian Red Cross, Ladybug Counselling, Amnesty International Australia, Suraksha, Madras Christian Council of Social Services, and NSW SERVICE FOR THE TREATMENT AND REHABILITATION OF TORTURE AND TRAUMA SURVIVORS (STARTTS). Gabby'sroles have included positions such as Director Customer Experience, Project Manager, Project Officer, Social Cohesion Project Lead, Client Services Team Leader, NSW Practice and Operations SME, Project Lead, Caseworker, Camp Leader, and Refugee Caseworker. Gabby has demonstrated skills in change management, service quality and improvement, communications, design, and project management. Gabby has also been involved in advocacy, campaigning, and community health work.

Gabby Sivertsen pursued their education, starting with a Bachelor's degree from UNSW from the year 2008 until 2012. Gabby completed a double degree in Social Work/Arts during this period. Later on, they pursued a Master's degree in Development Studies (Forced Migration) from UNSW, which they completed between 2015 and 2017.
