Markus Herren

Markus Herren is currently the Head of Operations at Sitasys AG since August 2012, where he is responsible for national and international project management in German, French, and English. He also oversees IT operations in both cloud and on-premises environments, as well as sales in Switzerland. Prior to this role, he held positions in project management and engineering at Ascom from January 2007 to August 2012. Markus also worked as a freelancer in informatics at softX Software Engineering from 2001 to 2007, specializing in test software for the solar industry and packaging machines. His earlier experience includes software development roles at companies such as Ascom and Omega Electronics SA, where he worked on projects ranging from software for bank ATMs to portable timing devices for sports events. Markus is a trained electrical engineer with additional education in coaching, systemic project management, and software development.
