David Schubring

David Schubring has a diverse range of work experience in the technology and IT industry. David is currently serving as the Global Information Technology Director at SiteRx, where they are responsible for building and operating an AI infrastructure to deliver patient screening data for clinical trials.

Prior to that, David held the position of Director, West Coast Region Infrastructure & Data Centers at Amazon Web Services. In this role, they managed the safety, security, availability, scaling, costs, and efficiency of AWS data centers on the west coast. David led a team of data center professionals and was responsible for overseeing network and server infrastructure, logistics, safety, security, facilities, and data center operations.

Before joining Amazon, David worked at Tyco Retail Solutions as a Senior Manager/Senior Architect. Their responsibilities included the technical design and acceptance of software and hardware solutions for global retailers.

David also had experience at Auxis, where they served as an AWS Infrastructure Service Delivery Manager. In this role, they managed an infrastructure services team supporting Target's high availability cellular activation and point of sales environments in the cloud.

Earlier in their career, David held various positions at Autodesk, Incyte Genomics, Roche Pharmaceuticals, United Technologies, and Electronic Data Systems. These roles involved managing IT infrastructure, supporting UNIX-based systems, implementing complex IT projects, and leading teams to support CAD/CAM/CAE and accounting applications.

Overall, David brings extensive expertise in IT infrastructure management, data center operations, technical design, and team leadership to their current and previous roles.

David Schubring earned their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Oakland University, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. David then pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, General at the same institution, completing their studies from 1991 to 1995.
