Ahmed Helal

Ahmed Helal has an extensive work experience that spans from 2007 to present. Ahmed is currently employed at SiTration, Inc. as the Director of R&D since January 2023. Prior to this role, they held the position of Head of Electrochemistry at SiTration, Inc. from October 2021 to January 2023. Before joining SiTration, Inc., Ahmed worked as a Principal Engineer at Alsym Energy from January 2021 to September 2021. From September 2016 to January 2021, they served as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at 24M Technologies. Ahmed also has a strong academic background, having worked as a Graduate Student Research Assistant and Graduate Student Teaching Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from September 2009 to June 2016. Ahmed also worked as a Designer & Mechanical Engineer at MIT in 2012. Ahmed gained industry experience as a Research Intern, Project Lead at L'Oréal in 2009, and as a Research Intern at LPDMI/CNRS in 2008. Ahmed started their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Hydrodynamics Lab, Ecole Polytechnique from September 2007 to April 2008, and also worked as a Shop Assistant & Waiter at Lao Ahmed Tea Shop in 2007.

From 2005 to 2009, Ahmed attended École Polytechnique where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Materials Science & Engineering and a Master of Science (MS) in Science & Engineering.

Continuing their academic journey, Ahmed pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering from 2009 to 2015 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Additionally, in July 2014, Ahmed obtained the Certified Labview Associate Developer certification from the National Instruments.
