Indigenous Mental Wellness Systems Coordinator at Six Nations Health Services

Natasha Samounty currently serves as the Indigenous Mental Wellness Systems Coordinator at Six Nations Health Services, a position held since January 2021. Previously, Natasha was a Graduate Student Researcher at Canadian Doctors for Protection from Guns, where research focused on the impact of gun violence on youth in high-income countries and explored interventions for mitigating these effects. Natasha's experience also includes working as an Addictions Worker at Grey Bruce Health Services, handling both detox and community treatment programs, as well as roles in accounting and inventory management at Musashi Auto Parts Canada Inc. and Durham Electric. Natasha holds a Master of Science in Global Health from McMaster University, a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health and Addictions from Humber College, and a Bachelor of Public Health from the University of Waterloo.
