Antonio Chrysostomou is an accomplished astrophysicist with extensive experience in both academic and operational roles. Currently serving as the Head of Science Operations Planning at the Square Kilometre Array Organisation since September 2015, Antonio is responsible for planning operations for the world's largest radio observatory. Prior to this role, Antonio spent over two decades at the University of Hertfordshire, where contributions included lecturing in Physics and Astronomy and conducting research in star formation. Additional experience includes management positions at the Joint Astronomy Centre, where responsibilities involved organizing and managing observational projects at the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope. Antonio holds a PhD in Astrophysics from The University of Edinburgh and a BSc (Honours) in Physics and Astronomy from Queen Mary University of London.
