Jesus Salgado

Jesus Salgado is a seasoned software architect with extensive experience in the field of software and system engineering, particularly for large-scale research and astronomical projects. Currently serving as the SKA Regional Centers Software Architect at SKA Observatory since June 2021, Jesus is responsible for defining the architecture of the SKA Regional Centres Network and coordinating software development efforts. Prior to this role, Jesus was the Joint Managing Director at Quasar Science Resources, a private consulting firm, and served for over two decades at the European Space Agency as a Senior Software Engineer, where key responsibilities included leading the ESA Astronomical Archives and managing various interoperability projects. With a degree in Physics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Jesus has a strong foundational background that complements technical expertise in software development and project management.
