Luca Stringhetti

Head Of Engineering at SKA Observatory

Luca Stringhetti serves as the Head of Engineering at SKA Observatory since February 2016, overseeing the engineering group responsible for requirement management, design justification, and system engineering for the SKA telescopes. Prior to this role, Stringhetti was a Systems Engineer and deputy Project Manager for the ASTRI telescope at INAF - Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica from June 2010 to January 2016 and held the position of Systems Engineering Manager for the ACES project at EADS ASTRIUM from April 2008 to June 2010. Earlier experience includes managing AIV for the LFI instrument in the ESA/PLANCK project and working as an Antenna Engineer in various companies focusing on antenna design and testing. Stringhetti earned a degree in Physics, specializing in Radio Astrophysics, from Università degli Studi di Milano.
