William Garnier

Director Of Communications, Outreach And Education at SKA Observatory

William Garnier has extensive experience in communications, outreach, and education within the scientific community. Since November 2012, William has served as the Director of Communications, Outreach and Education at the SKA Observatory, where responsibilities include setting strategic communication directions, fostering international collaborations, and coordinating global outreach initiatives. Prior to this role, William worked as the Education and Public Outreach Officer at ALMA from July 2007 to November 2012, and held positions with the European Southern Observatory and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs focusing on science communication. William began a career in journalism as a freelance writer for notable publications, including LE MONDE and LIBÉRATION, from June 2001 to October 2005. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Science Journalism from Richter University and a Master's degree in Physics with a specialization in Meteorology from Blaise Pascal University.
