Cathrine Holtedahl has extensive work experience in compliance and regulatory roles within the energy sector. Cathrine is currently the Head of Group Compliance at Skagerak Energi, where they are responsible for the overall compliance policy of the Skagerak Group. Their previous role at Skagerak Kraft AS as the Head of Compliance involved implementing internal procedures for power trading activities and assessing sustainability criteria. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Advisor at NVE, focusing on market design, surveillance, and regulatory issues in the power sector. Cathrine also has experience in asset management and policy development related to carbon capture technology. Additionally, they have worked as an Advisor at Gassnova SF and in various roles at the Olje- og energidepartementet. Cathrine has also worked as a National Expert on Professional Training at the European Commission, specializing in competition issues in the energy sector.
Cathrine Holtedahl's education history begins in the year 2000 when they attended the University of Oslo (UiO) for a short period of time, studying Ex.phil. Cathrine then went on to enroll at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB) from the years 2001 to 2004, earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics and resource management. In 2004, they continued their studies at UMB and completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Development and resource economics from 2004 to 2006. Additionally, in 2005, Holtedahl participated in a program at École Nationale Supérieure Agronomique de Rennes, France as part of their Master's degree, focusing on Environmental and resource economics.
