Allison Porter, MD, FACS has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Allison started their career at Virginia Mason Medical Center in 2009 as a General Surgery Resident and stayed there until 2014. In 2014, they joined the University of Washington as an Acting Instructor & Senior Fellow in Minimally Invasive Surgery, where they worked until 2015. Since 2015, Dr. Porter has been employed at Skagit Regional Health, initially as a General Surgeon and currently serves as the Chief of Surgery.
Allison Porter, MD, FACS, earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics from Harvard University in 2002. Allison went on to receive their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of Washington - School of Medicine in 2009.
