Dr. Teressa Basko is a Research Engineer at SK Infrared where she focuses on the fabrication and characterization of photonic sensors for commercial and military applications. She has been involved with the research and development of infrared detectors across both academia and industry for the past eight years.
She earned her BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from University of New Mexico in 2012 and 2016 respectively. She earned her PhD in Electrical Engineering in 2020 from The Ohio State University, concentrating in nanotechnology and electronic materials.
Prior to working at SK Infrared, Teressa was employed at SEAKR Engineering and Ball Aerospace where she worked as a Test Engineer for satellite system and focal plane array development. Teressa’s research interests include developing the next generation of infrared detector sensors and focal plane array systems through semiconductor growth, fabrication, and testing of high performance mid-wave and long-wave infrared detectors.
